Aileen Reid finishes 40th in Cape Town World Triathlon round

Northern Ireland triathlete Aileen Reid finished 40th in her first appearance of the season in the World Triathlon Series in Abu Dhabi on Sunday.
The 33-year-old recorded a time of 01:05:19 to end up five minutes 30 seconds behind the winner, Great Britain competitor Non Stanford.
Reid missed the opening two rounds of the 2016 series in Abu Dhabi and the Gold Coast because of illness.
Her Olympic place will be confirmed after next month's round in Yokohama.
Another Great Britain triathlete, Jodie Stimpson, was second in the event which was held over a sprint distance of 750m swim, 20km cycle and 5km run.
