If Luke Rowe (L) makes Team Sky's 2015 Tour de France line-up along with Geraint Thomas (R), it will be the first time two Welshmen have ridden in the World's biggest cycling race.

Geraint Thomas has pulled out of this week's British Cycling National Road Championships in Lincolnshire which start on June 25.

Thomas, 29, will rest after finishing second at the eight day Tour de Suisse on Sunday.

The Welsh rider is expected to be in Team Sky's nine-man line-up for the Tour de France starting on 4 July.

His compatriot Luke Rowe, 25, is also hoping to seal a place on the team to be announced next week.
