Maisie Potter: Snowboarder qualifies for World Championship quarter-finals

Wales' Maisie Potter has qualified for the quarter-finals in the snowboard cross event at the Snowboard World Championships.

Potter finished 19th after two heats in her first appearance at the event in Sierra Nevada, Spain.

19-year-old Potter goes in the fourth bracket of the 24 women round on Sunday, wearing the white bib.

Elsewhere, Britain's Zoe Gillings-Brier qualified in 11th for Sunday's quarter-finals, which start 11:30 GMT.
