Canadian Olympic bobsleigh champion Kaillie Humphries and the USA's Elana Meyers Taylor have qualified to drive against men on the World Cup circuit.

The gold and silver-medal winning duo satisfied the requirement to finish five races on three tracks within two seasons to compete on the top tour.

They sealed their eligibility by taking part in a European Cup four-man race.

Meyers Taylor and her team finished 10th, and Humphries came 17th.

The pair made history in November by becoming the first women to win four-man international bobsleigh medals in the North America Cup.
