Scotland's men maintained their 100% start at the European Curling Championships in Lillehammer, Norway, while the women's team also top the standings despite their first defeat.

Bruce Mouat's rink are the only nation with a perfect record after edging out Denmark 9-8 on day four to make it six straight victories in the round-robin.

Eve Muirhead and her team lost 8-7 to Italy, having trailed 6-1 at halfway, but bounced back convincingly with a 9-1 success over Czech Republic in just seven ends.

Muirhead is aiming for a 10th medal at European level, having won gold in 2017 and 2011.

Mouat, a world silver medallist this year, won European gold in 2018, his debut year at the tournament.

Grant Hardie, Bobby Lammie and Hammy McMillan make up Mouat's team, along with alternate Ross Whyte, while Muirhead is joined by Vicky Wright, Jen Dodds, newcomer Hailey Duff and Mili Smith.
