Scotland lost 6-4 to hosts United States as they missed out on the World Men's Curling Championship semi-finals in Las Vegas.
Canada, who topped the round robin, will face reigning world and Olympic champions Sweden in Sunday's final.
Ross Paterson's Scots had finished fourth ahead of the USA after winning seven of their 12 round-robin games.
But Korey Dropkin's rink raced into a 5-1 lead after seven ends and never relinquished their lead.
Brad Gushue's Canadians, who had only lost two round robin games, proved too good for the Americans in their semi-final, winning 8-5.
Five-time champion Niklas Edin's Swedes, who had won nine of their round robin games, eased through 8-4 against Joel Retornaz's rink after the Italians won their play-off against Yannick Schwaller's Switzerland 10-4.
