Team GB show off their gold medals after victory in the mixed team curling event

Great Britain claimed their first Youth Olympics curling gold when an all-Scottish team overcame Denmark 7-5 in the mixed team finals in South Korea.

The quartet of Logan Carson, Tia Laurie, Archie Hyslop and Holly Burke rallied against the Danes to secure Team GB's third gold of the games.

They were 4-1 down after the first two ends, but powered back to level before claiming victory in an extra end.

"We're really proud to make history today," said skip Carson.

They edged out Switzerland 8-6 in the semi-finals earlier in the day in Gangwong to book their place in the final.

"Our composure in the semi against Switzerland was key and we managed that well to get the win," Carson added.

"In the final, it was more about our team dynamic being so strong that we always believed we could put pressure on the Danish team and luckily we got there in the end."

The curling continues on Friday in the mixed doubles, with Aberdeen's Ethan Brewster and Callie Soutar from Forfar representing Team GB.
