SNP sets out case for 'immediate ceasefire' in Gaza
The SNP's foreign affairs spokesman Brendan O'Hara says no country has the “right to lay siege" to a civilian population, describing Israel’s actions as a “collective punishment” on Gaza citizens.
After giving “unequivocal condemnation” of the Hamas attacks of 7 October, Brendan O’Hara called for the immediate release of all hostages.
He opened a debate, expected to last several hours, on his party’s call for an immediate ceasefire in the Middle East.
