We asked for your opinions on Sunday's Premier League fixture between Liverpool and Wolves, as Jurgen Klopp oversaw his final game in charge of the Reds.

Here are some of the best responses:

    Liverpool fans

Andy: Kloppo - it has been such an adventure! Amazing nights and painful nights, you taught us how to respond to disappointments. Your character, integrity, passion and love of life were evident whenever you spoke. An absolute legend and perfect for Liverpool Football Club. So long, and thanks for all the fun!

Doug: Klopp has raised the game of football, and Premier League football, to greater visibility and popularity. His passion for the fans has been such an endearing quality, but his passion and paternal-like caring for his players has changed the way that managers will be viewed in the future.

Richard: He won pretty much everything there is to win, but most of all the hearts of the Liverpool people - whether red, blue or a non-fan. His genuine empathy and compassion transcends the game and I can't think of any other top-flight manager who has achieved that or even come close. With some luck, his shoes can be filled on the pitch - but off it, never.

Jono: A perfect send off for a very special boss. Thank you for the best of memories and times, Jurgen. A masterclass in leadership, you will be remembered forever and, in time, we will get you a statue for the future generations to learn what you gave us. You’ll never walk alone.

    Wolves fans

Marc: We obviously need a couple of quality players because the last 10 games were abysmal! Why were we so bad towards end of the season, but brilliant in the first half of the season? Did teams figure us out? I see next season being very, very hard unless we can somehow get some quality players in. I'm afraid to say we will be in a relegation fight next season, if players are not added.

Alan: Nobody has really mentioned it but our turning point this season was the defeat against Coventry City in the FA Cup. I don't know how we're going to achieve it with all of the financial restrictions, but we must strengthen our squad to really compete next season.

Mark: This season seemed doomed from the start, with last minute managerial changes, but after Christmas all the worries of relegation were a thing of the past. Then, as per the last couple of seasons, a small squad was decimated by injuries. Then, in the last third of the season, they performed poorly and the team dropped down towards the bottom of the table.

Jon: There is a pivotal transfer window coming up. We know there won't be a big transfer fund and we will have to do some shrewd business. We have several players on loan where it will be interesting to see whether they stay and find a way into the first-team or will be sold. If we can do good business and retain key players, we can have a strong next season.

We asked for your opinions on Sunday's Premier League fixture between Arsenal and Everton, which saw the Gunners miss out on the Premier League title.

Here are some of the best responses:

    Arsenal fans

Martin: The stress caught up to us and, although we eventually got the win, there was no hope from the Etihad. An incredible effort and an improvement on last season. We just need to make crucial adjustments like a younger defensive midfielder and a striker in the summer, as that will get us the title. Surely Manchester City can't keep it up for a fifth year in a row.

Richard: I think Arsenal have been fantastic all season. We have the best defence, the most clean sheets and the best coach. Arsenal have come short, but this will make them stronger and keep the team together. It will show that Arsenal trust what they have.

Aston: So close yet so far! We have done wonderfully for two season in a row. I feel like we are the only ones who will push Manchester City again next season, so let's see how we keep improving our squad this summer.

Sam: Ultimately, the 11 points dropped by us in December were what cost us the league. In those matches, our lack of potency up front was being scrutinised and, when push comes to shove, I think it is still the area we need to address most over the summer. Havertz has been scintillating since January but we need a natural number nine to get us over the line.

    Everton fans

Ifan: Proud of our team! We played well, but Arsenal were hungry for the win. To take the lead and then hold Arsenal for 88 minutes, at their ground, is an achievement. To finish 15th on 40 points, 48 points without points deductions, has made for a relaxing end to the season for us Evertonians. Thank you, Sean Dyche! Roll on 2024-25 season!

Chris: An against the run of play lead, but there was hope that we could've held on for a point. Without the points deduction, a respectable mid-table finish would've been ours and it would've been our best season in four years. Well done to Sean Dyche and the players. Next season may be harder - we could have a nine point deduction to contend with. C'est la vie!

David: Well done to Everton over the past few weeks for surviving relegation. Today's performance was typical of our fighting spirit over the latter part of the season. If not for those eight points deducted, we would've finished 12th overall and that is great credit to Dyche, his staff and the players. Enjoy the summer Evertonians everywhere!

John: I'm looking forward to next season when all of our players will be fit. With a brilliant manager in Sean Dyche, we will be looking for a top-half finish.

Jurgen Klopp speaks to Liverpool supportersImage source, PA Media

Outgoing Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp addressed supporters on the pitch at Anfield, as his reign of nearly nine years came to an end with a 2-0 win over Wolves on Sunday.

He told fans: "You welcome the new manager like you welcomed me. You go all-in from the first day. And you keep believing and you push the team.

"People told me that I turned them from doubters to believers. That's not true. Believing is an active act: you have to do it yourself. I just said we have to. You did it. That's a big difference.

"And nobody tells you now to stop believing. Because this club is in a better moment than ever. Maybe ever - I have to ask Kenny [Dalglish] - but since a long time, let me say it like that.

"We have this wonderful stadium, wonderful training centre, we have you - the superpower of world football.

"We decide if we are worried or excited. We decide if we believe or don't believe. We decide if we trust or we don't trust. And since today I'm one of you and I keep believing in you.

"I stay a believer, 100%. Change is good."

  7. Arsenal 2-1 Everton: What Dyche saidpublished at 20:23 19 May

Sean Dyche admitted that he hasn't "really been bothered" about the title race between Arsenal and Manchester City this season, following the Toffees' final day defeat to the Gunners.

Everton have faced a number of challenges this season, after being penalised with two points deductions in one campaign, but the English manager still managed to lift the Toffees to a 15th placed finish in the Premier League.

Speaking after the 2-1 defeat to Arsenal, Dyche said: "I have had my own challenges, so I haven't really been bothered about [the title race] too much, but it's good for the fans and for the greater good of the Premier League to [have the title decision] go down to today.

"It has been a really, really powerful season for the sides up there. [It was] very exciting [for it to go] all the way down to today.

"I think, deep down, everyone probably thought Manchester City would see it through today, but that is the beauty of football - you never know."

  8. 'What Klopp has done is magnificent' - Robertsonpublished at 19:38 19 May

Jurgen Klopp smilesImage source, PA Media

Liverpool captain Virgil van Dijk, speaking to Sky Sports about Jurgen Klopp's final match in charge: "I've got no words, it's a very emotional day. Liverpool is Liverpool. It's special and you see that today.

"It was always going to be a tough afternoon for everyone for different reasons, of course."

Reds full-back Andy Robertson, speaking to PLP: "We can't thank Jurgen Klopp enough and all the players could do today was try to win for him and we managed that to send him off on a high.

"Every time he stood up he would have got a massive cheer. He tried to take the limelight off him and it just wasn't possible. He will have to suck it up today. What he's done for the club is magnificent. We have a lot to be grateful for and thankful for. Today he can just focus on being with his family and the fans. We wish him and his family all the best for the future.

"He gave me a chance at Liverpool, signed me, made me the player I am and helped me win trophies. I came here as a relatively young man and I'm a lot more older and wiser now, but a lot of characteristics have been down to him. He texts me in good moments and in bad. He's improved all of us as people. That's what we're all grateful for. He always took time for our families and for us. That's what we'll miss the most. He's done amazing at this club. I think he needs to get off in the sun, have a beer in his hand and have a well-deserved rest.

"We wanted to send him off like we have but of course there's a new era upon us. We're all excited and we have to be. We need to be on board. We will be ready to get on board with the new manager and help him as much as we can. This club demands success. We're excited for the new challenge. Let's have a couple of days' rest, I'll go to represent Scotland, then we'll be ready."

  9. Liverpool 2-0 Wolves: What Klopp saidpublished at 19:17 19 May

    Jurgen Klopp smilesImage source, Reuters

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp, speaking to Sky Sports after his final match in charge ended in a 2-0 win against Wolves: "I thought it might be more sad in the beginning but when people realise, it's all good. Honestly.

"If I carry on, these guys and others will say 'he's been there too long'. You have to be the spark. I love the squad. There is so much potential. They will make changes here and there.

"I'm sure you will all agree there does not need an overhaul. We finished third. We were ahead of schedule. It's a statement in this strong league and I'm absolutely fine with that.

"There has been such a long lead-up to this day and it was really intense. I had my bad moments as well but thank God, not today. I'm just thankful for what happens. When you are in it, you forget sometimes how great it is. You take it for granted. Now I stand here, I'm just so happy I'm a part of the club's history. It's wonderful.

"It's so super special that it's difficult to explain. We live in a world where it's all about results for others. We learn that not getting absolutely everything is fine. It's such a massive lesson for life. It's not about that, it's about the journey and the togetherness and that's what I love. Things might not always go perfect.

"The other clubs, with the most money and the best managers, they win it. We didn't have the best manager and never had the best team but for a while we played the best football and I love that. We are a rock solid club and don't overspend. People say 'you didn't spend enough'. What the heck do you want? I just understand this from the Liverpool way."

  10. Arsenal 2-1 Everton: Key statspublished at 18:57 19 May

Here are the key facts and figures following Sunday’s game between Arsenal and Everton in the Premier League.

    • Arsenal achieved 89 points this season, which is their second most in a single Premier League campaign after the 90 points earned by their title-winning side of 2003-04.

    • Everton lost their final Premier League game of the season for the 15th time – no side has done so more in the competition's history.

    • William Saliba became the first outfield player to play every minute for Arsenal in a single Premier League campaign.

    • Kai Havertz has become the fifth player to register 20 Premier League goal involvements (13 goals, 7 assists) in his debut season with Arsenal, after Thierry Henry in 1999-00 (25), Santi Cazorla in 2012-13 (23), Lukas Podolski in 2012-13 (20) and Alexis Sanchez in 2014-15 (24).

    • Idrissa Gueye's opener for Everton was the first direct free-kick goal Arsenal have conceded at home in the Premier League since Philippe Coutinho's strike for Liverpool in their opening game of the 2016-17 campaign.

  11. Analysis: Arsenal 2-1 Evertonpublished at 18:56 19 May

    Emma Smith
    BBC Sport journalist

In a season where it has felt for Everton fans like them against the world, a controversial VAR decision is perhaps the most appropriate note to end on.

Referee Michael Oliver choosing to disregard the VAR advice to disallow Kai Havertz's winner for a handball in the build-up did not go down well with Everton.

Sean Dyche was furious, perhaps partly due to the decision and in part because it meant his side got nothing from a fine, fighting performance in London.

Everton more than played their part in the day's drama, defending well against Arsenal's dominance of possession before grabbing the opening goal.

Jordan Pickford was in top form, although a few hairy moments between him and Jarrad Branthwaite may give England fans pause for thought ahead of the Euros.

But amid the takeover uncertainty and continued financial worries, there is a spirit and identity to Everton which should provide hope for 2024-25.

  12. Liverpool 2-0 Wolves: Key statspublished at 18:41 19 May

Here are the key facts and figures from Sunday's game between Liverpool and Wolves in the Premier League.

    • Jurgen Klopp became the first permanent Liverpool manager to win his final game in charge of the club in all competitions since Matt McQueen in February 1928.

    • Liverpool's Jarell Quansah scored the 1,223rd goal of this season's Premier League, a new all-time competition record, overtaking the 1,222 scored in the inaugural 1992-93 campaign, which was a 22-team season.

    • Wolves have won just one of their final 10 Premier League games of the season (D2 L7). Since the start of April, only relegated sides Luton (four) and Sheffield United (one) have earned fewer points in the competition than Wolves (five).

    • Liverpool attempted 21 shots in the first half against Wolves; only Manchester City v West Bromwich Albion in March 2015 (26) and Liverpool v Swansea in February 2013 (22) have had more in the opening 45 minutes of a Premier League game on record (from 2003-04).

    • In 2024, Harvey Elliott has provided 10 assists for Liverpool in all competitions, with only Kevin De Bruyne (16) registering more for Premier League clubs this calendar year.

    • Since the start of last season, Wolves have received more red cards in the Premier League than any other side, with Nelson Semedo's against Liverpool their 10th in this time.

Arsenal missed out on a first Premier League title since 2004, despite beating Everton, as Manchester City took the glory.

To be crowned champions, the Gunners needed to beat the Toffees and hope City failed to win against West Ham.

Arsenal suffered a setback when Idrissa Gueye's deflected free-kick put Everton in front, although Takehiro Tomiyasu equalised three minutes later.

While Arsenal did eventually hold up their end of the bargain with Kai Havertz's late winner, ultimately City's victory over West Ham took matters out of their hands.

Jurgen Klopp's final game as Liverpool manager ended with victory over Wolves amid emotional scenes at Anfield.

Liverpool's fans made it their business to dedicate the whole occasion to giving thanks and paying tribute to the manager who has brought such success to the club in a nine-year reign.

And Klopp's players delivered their part of the bargain with a comfortable three points in an atmosphere that was part carnival and part a sad farewell to the German, who was given a rapturous reception before kick-off and serenaded throughout.

Alexis Mac Allister headed Liverpool ahead in the 34th minute from Harvey Elliott's cross, and Jarell Quansah added a second from almost on the goal line six minutes later as they finished the season third in the Premier League after winning the Carabao Cup.

The goals came after Wolves had Nelson Semedo sent off by referee Chris Kavanagh after a video assistant referee review for a high challenge on Mac Allister.
