    Everton v Nott'm Forest (Sun, 13:30 BST)

    Nottingham Forest

Forest boss Nuno Espirito Santo pleaded with fans to continue to support the team after a rise in ticket prices for next season: "I said it from the first day that I arrived, it's very special the relationship that we have with our fans. We need them.

"The bond between the club and the fans is the most important thing in football because we play for the fans.

"The fans are really, really important, especially for the boys. When they are on the pitch, they can count on their support and their noise, so let's try to keep it this way. We need them till the end so please keep on supporting us."

  2. Santo on 'deduction derby'published at 16:04 19 April

    Everton v Nott'm Forest (Sun, 13:30 BST)

    Nottingham Forest

Forest boss Nuno Espirito Santo on the first-ever 'deduction derby': "It's due to the circumstances that you can call it that but it's a very important game for both clubs due to this.

"We are in similar situations with the deduction of points. Both sides don't know how many points will be lost."

  3. Forest wary of Everton's set-piece threatpublished at 16:01 19 April

    Everton v Nott'm Forest (Sun, 13:30 BST)

    Nottingham Forest

Forest manager Nuno Espirito Santo on the threat Everton pose: "They score a lot from set-pieces so it's about working, working, working. It's what we’ve done today, what we’ll do tomorrow again and what we’ve done before yesterday.

"It’s putting things right, and fortunately we only conceded [from] one corner last game. We’ve been able to be really strong with our pressing.

"It’s finding the balance of not conceding set-pieces and, at the same time, when they happen, being focused and determined to solve it."

  4. PSR continues to dominate ahead of Forest's trip to Evertonpublished at 15:57 19 April

There is little boss Nuno Espirito Santo can add to the ongoing debate around Nottingham Forest’s profit and sustainability issue.

Next week’s appeal will determine if they are able to claw back any of the four points they were deducted last month for a PSR breach.

Nuno said last week the situation at the bottom of the Premier League harmed the top flight’s integrity and the spotlight continues to shine on the off-field issues ahead of Sunday’s trip to Everton.

The Toffees have launched their own appeal against their two-point deduction, their second punishment of the season, for their own PSR breach and there is no escaping how vital the Goodison Park clash is.

Forest sit a point above the relegation zone with Everton just a point and a place better off, although with a game in hand.

Victory for either side could give them the breathing space they crave, depending on Luton’s result against Brentford on Saturday, and the chance to save themselves on the pitch, rather than in the courts.

  5. Awoniyi ruled out for Forestpublished at 15:55 19 April

    Everton V Nott'm Forest (Sun, 13:30 BST)

    Nottingham Forest

Nigeria striker Taiwo Awoniyi has not trained with the team this week and will be out for Sunday's game against Everton.

Sweden forward Anthony Elanga has trained with the team this week and will be assessed tomorrow ahead.

  6. Date set for Forest's appeal against points deductionpublished at 15:53 19 April

    Everton v Nott'm Forest (Sun, 13:30, BST)

Nottingham Forest's appeal against their four-point punishment for breaching profit and sustainability rules will be heard on Wednesday, 24 April.

The hearing itself is expected to be wrapped up within a day but Forest will have to wait to discover if they are successful, with the timeframe of the outcome unclear.

Forest go to fellow Premier League strugglers Everton on Sunday with both clubs having been deducted points this season after profit and sustainability breaches.

Everton were hit with a 10 point deduction in November, reduced to six on appeal, before a two-point penalty was issued this month for a second breach, which the Toffees have also appealed.

  7. 'The Liverpool win doesn't help us beat West Ham'published at 15:50 19 April

Crystal Palace v West Ham (Sun, 15:00 BST)

    Crystal Palace

Crystal Palace boss Oliver Glasner on last week's win at Liverpool: "I don't want to talk too much about the Liverpool game because it's over.

"It's one week ago and it was a great win, but it doesn't help us winning against West Ham.

"Of course, maybe regarding confidence, but what we have to do on the pitch is very important.

"I mentioned it after the game as a benchmark, but we have to be careful because we can’t always say: ‘yes, we want to play like we played against Liverpool’.

"Our opponents, they’ll do maybe different things. They don't combine, so maybe they play with long balls, or we have the same challenges in set plays, because Liverpool were very dangerous in set plays. They had three, four big chances after set plays and West Ham is also one of the best teams regarding set-plays."

  8. 'We're in the best moment of the season'published at 15:47 19 April

Fulham v Liverpool (Sun, 16:30 BST)

    Fulham

Fulham manager Marco Silva, whose side could move up to 10th this weekend: "I think we’re in the best moment of the season. We haven't had big injuries in the last month and a half, or two months. All the squad is available.

"It of course creates a competition inside our squad that helps myself and the players to reach a different level and good headaches for me to decide, which is always the better situation to plan a game and prepare for the next game. But I’ll repeat what I said, two months or a month and a half, or last month, yes we are in the best moment of the season."

Klopp has been my favourite manager since Clough (Forest fan obviously). I loved his humanity and leadership. I hope he has a season off to recuperate, and wish him every future success wherever he goes. I cannot see it being in the PL though as he couldn’t do that to Liverpool. Thank you for lighting up the PL Jurgen.

  10. 'This can still be an outstanding season'published at 15:43 19 April

Fulham v Liverpool (Sun, 16:30 BST)

    Liverpool

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp speaking ahead of Sunday's match at Fulham: "I don't have a lot of qualities but I am always honest. If I don't feel great, they will realise it really quickly.

"That means after a game, people ask me [all sorts]. Give me time to think about it. I feel great. Were we are is fantastic.

"Is it the last game [we played] or the last week, or is it the chance in front of us? We can turn things around and still have an outstanding season.

"It is a good season but how you look at it will be the end.

"I don't tell [my players] things that I don't believe in. I am convinced we can win every game we have left, but we only have to [think about winning] the next one, of course."

  11. How the top of the Premier League lookspublished at 15:41 19 April

Here's a reminder of how the title race looks, along with the fight for European places, before this weekend's Premier League fixtures.

Arsenal and Liverpool have a chance to put pressure on Manchester City this weekend as the defending champions are playing Chelsea in the FA Cup semi-finals.

  12. 'Wheels have not come off' for Gunnerspublished at 15:39 19 April

Wolves v Arsenal (Sat, 19:30 BST)

Chris Sutton predictions logoImage source, BBC Sport

This is a massive game for Arsenal but it definitely helps them that Wolves are on a pretty terrible run, without a win in four games.

The talk this week about the Gunners has been whether the wheels are coming off, but I don't think that's the case.

They maybe lacked a bit of composure in their defeat by Aston Villa. But Villa have got some very good players, as do Bayern Munich, who beat them in Germany on Wednesday.

I'd put Arsenal's Champions League defeat down to their failure to win the first leg at Emirates Stadium, and it would have been a different story if Bukayo Saka hadn't dived when he was through on goal late on in that game.

I'm still probably basing this prediction more on Wolves' form than on Arsenal's but I do think the Gunners will find a way to win at Molineux.

I hope they do too, because I don't want Manchester City to have it all their own way in the run-in.

    Sutton's prediction: 0-1

It's unacceptable for the smaller clubs, but you have to remember that football is a business and at the end of the day the big clubs would rather play in Europe or in an expanded world club competition because it's more financially beneficial to them. Everything from wages to transfer fees are astronomical, so they have to get their money from somewhere.

  15. 'There's an awful lot being asked of top players'published at 15:33 19 April

Wolves v Arsenal (Sat, 19:30 BST)

    Wolverhampton Wanderers

Wolves manager Gary O'Neil on FA Cup replays being scrapped: "I think you can see that there's an awful lot being asked of top players at the moment and the games they play. If you look at the guys that are playing at the moment in the champions league that are then going to go off to the Euros or to Copa America. They're playing an awful lot of football matches. I understand the concern around that.

"If I put my selfish Wolverhampton head on, if we’re going to run with a squad of 19, which we have this season, then the less games the better. I spoke about the FA cup before we played Brighton, where I was quite strong around how I think they should be played on Saturdays so you get a full week’s prep and the game can be taken seriously and not put in between two league games."

Surely the answer is keep FA Cup replays but the Premier League teams don’t play in the League Cup. That gives the lower leagues something to aim for by way of a trophy and frees up fixtures for the replays.

Fair point Jeremy. We already have the EFL Trophy, but that is just for clubs in League One and League Two, not the Championship.

  17. Win at Liverpool is a 'good start' for Glasnerpublished at 15:28 19 April

Crystal Palace v West Ham (Sun, 15:00 BST)

Chris Sutton predictions logoImage source, BBC Sport

Who saw Crystal Palace beating Liverpool? Not me.

It is going to take until next season for Eagles boss Oliver Glasner to really make his mark, but a result like that is a good start.

I don't think it is a huge coincidence that the Eagles put in that performance when they had Eberechi Eze and Michael Olise in the team together. They carry much more of a threat with both of them fit, and it changes my whole way of thinking when I am predicting Palace games.

Palace have a classy player in midfield too in Adam Wharton - I saw enough of him at my old club Blackburn to be impressed and I love the way he knits things together so effortlessly.

Wharton is not the fastest but the first three yards are in his head and he just sees things quicker than most people. He can still improve some aspects of his game but he has only just turned 20 and looks like a shrewd piece of business by the Eagles.

As for West Ham, they have got a fight on their hands to qualify for Europe again next season. There is the danger the Hammers' season could fizzle out, although I don't think it will.

    Sutton's prediction: 2-1

Crystal Palace v West Ham (Sun, 15:00 BST)

    Crystal Palace

Crystal Palace boss Oliver Glasner about enjoying London and the opportunity to manage in the Premier League: "If you asked me one hour before [whether I liked living in England], I would say oh my god, what weather we have! But now it is sunny.

"I would say my mood changes four times a day because of the weather but the rest I really enjoy. I enjoy working with all the members here at the club ands all the players and the staff. I enjoy the Premier League and of course I enjoy London, but not the traffic."

  19. Glasner looks forward to Moyes reunionpublished at 15:21 19 April

Crystal Palace v West Ham (Sun, 15:00 BST)

    Crystal Palace

Crystal Palace boss Oliver Glasner, who was Eintracht Frankfurt coach when they beat West Ham in the 2022 Europa League semi-finals, on Hammers boss David Moyes: "[He’s been] brilliant. They were in the quarter-finals of the Europa League this season. They won the Conference League last season. The season before, they were in the semi-finals of the Europa League. I don't know their exact [league] positions in the last years, but yes, it's a very good team and he's a very experienced manager.

"We had two very tough games against them [in 2022]. Of course, I have very good memories because we won both games. But it was two years ago and one different team.

"For us, it's important to look at what we want to do, to perform at our best level and to win the game. This is what we were talking about – and also not talking about winning, but talking about what we have to do, what we want to do. This was the headline of the whole week."
