"Wolves manager Gary O'Neil to BBC's Match of the Day: "We helped them, we did help them. They are obviously an incredible side and they punished us for mistakes, but some of our mistakes were terrible.

A couple of ridiculous turnovers for the ball, like really bad that cost us and the first goal. The officials don't make any difference to the result today, but I don't agree with the awarding of the first penalty.

I thought it was a pretty bad decision. You see a coming together like that all of the time. I think Gvardiol's motion and follow through creates the contact as much as Rayan. I'm not sure what Rayan is meant to do, you can't disappear at that moment.

I was disappointed with the awarding of the first one, but then more disappointed with sort of the mistakes my own team make, so we just made it a bit too easy for Manchester City.

On being in the stands due to a touchline ban: "I would say it impacts how quickly we're able to get stuff on so it's hopefully something I don't repeat and hopefully, I get to spend the rest of my managerial career down on the touchline and be able to help the players.

It didn't have much impact on the game, but it would have been nice to be down there and move things around a little bit quicker but we need to dust ourselves down."

Their games are tricky games but it’s Manchester City.

What Mikel Arteta has to do is to keep Arsenal honest, win their games and get City to that last day of the season. If you can ask the question, because you never know.

When you are coming towards end of season, you do think differently. These games are the most important and that’s where City seem to thrive.

Spurs have lost a bit of form. That’s the game you would look at - Spurs away, City’s record is not great there.

Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola to BBC's Match of the Day: "I would say a better result than the performance, we lost a lot of simple balls in the first half. We created a lot of chances, we have to score more and Wolves have a really good base with Cunha, Hwang and they have a lot of quality there and the physicality that they have. But a good result happy for them.

On whether City sent a message with their performance: "The message is not about that, Arsenal also send a message. He (Arteta) wins the games and they win the games comfortably. But yes, one week left, two for the FA Cup, but the Premier League is one week left and three games. We have to take nine points, otherwise Arsenal will win the title and hopefully, we can come back here in a few days and have the chance against West Ham to come here and win the title.

On taking off Erling Haaland when chasing a fifth goal: "We had the chances. One day he will do it. He could've played until the end but Julian has been so important, his minutes have been decisive. Julian (Alvarez) has done [well] and I'd like to give him minutes. Rico (Lewis) has done well but again, I can't give him minutes. In a game playing against Crystal Palace, he was the best player on the pitch. Everyone is ready and fit and ready for what we have left."

The guy is an animal in front of goal.

He scored four goals and he was furious he came off. He wanted to score more goals. He is a phenomenon, I love watching him.

He knew there was going to be another chance. He wants to destroy teams. The guy is just built completely differently.

He has given City the difference, the missing piece of the jigsaw. He is certainly that. People criticise him and I find that hard to understand.

Wolves manager Gary O'Neil to Sky Sports: "I thought we damaged ourselves mostly. I think the first goal is obviously not our doing or error. The second goal we lose the ball really cheaply. I think the last goal it's unbelievable that we lose the ball when we had it at the back under no pressure.

"If you make errors against these they'll punish you. We made too many errors and Manchester City were very clinical.

"We fell short today, I'm disappointed with how we fell short. We made some key errors which you can't make.

"I though the first one was not a penalty. At 1-0 we had a good, long spell on the ball. If they hadn't have been given that start it may have been different. Then we gave them a soft second goal. There were loads of little things that meant we weren't able to compete against the best team in Europe too much."

On the first penalty decision: "You see those incidents all the time. He's already had the shot. I don't know what he can do. It's his swinging leg that causes the contact. I'm surprised with how quickly it's given. I thought it was a poor decision. That part of the officiating was really bad.

"I'd have no idea if that would have made any difference. We may have lost 4-1. It's a key part of the game. I wasn't expecting it to be given.

"The second one was probably a penalty but once it wasn't given I was surprised it was overturned. I'm happy with the decision but not happy with how it was given. Is it clear and obvious? I didn't think it was, but obviously I may be biased. I am the Wolves manager.

"I have to talk about the decisions because they happened in the game, but they're not the talking point. The story is Manchester City were excellent. The officials haven't cost us."

Were you frustrated to come off after scoring four?: "It was nothing about that. I was happy and Julian scored so that was really nice."

Would you rather be playing before Arsenal on a weekend or after?: "It's a bit of a difficult question. I don't care, we just have to win our games and now, relax tonight and focus on Fulham."

On scoring 201 goals in five seasons of club football since leaving Molde: "Yeah it's not bad, that and as I have been saying many times before, it would not be possible without all of my teammates in Dortmund, in Salzburg and [here], look today, it was because of them."

On former RB Salzburg teammate Hwang Hee-Chan scoring: "Hee-Chan scored, always good to see him. He's a fantastic guy. He also gave me a couple of assists as well, so a great guy."

It's staggering. Obviously when you win a treble, there’s a question of can you go again. Yes, Erling Haaland's form hasn’t been at the level of last season, but since he came back from injury, there’s a new-found confidence.

His all round general play is the thing I’m most impressed with.

Manchester City goalscorer Erling Haaland, speaking to Sky Sports about his Premier League goal tally: “Not bad 25 goals this season, Thanks for that. We keep going!"

On what gives him motivation: “I’ve got a not too bad manager who pushes me and look at the players around me. Without them it would not be possible. Look ahead, look to next one - four finals left for season. We’re going to go for it and focus on Fulham."

On his second goal: "That’s a beautiful goal. My father is going to be happy with that one. A nice celebration, I enjoyed that one. I’m scoring more headers, I try to develop and keep going."

On his fourth goal: “A beautiful goal. I don’t know what more I can say. Great goal, great ball from Phil [Foden].”

On whether Pep Guardiola is thinking about goal difference: “No. First of all it’s about winning the games but of course you want to have the best possible goal difference. Lets not think about that. Think about Fulham.”

When you are that level of player every week you are going to get scrutinised. There’s times in games you want him [Erling Haaland] to hold up the ball a bit more, use that strength.

He is still a young player, he will improve. To get to that next step can he bring that other side into his game? I think he will, he’s been a more rounded player in these last few games.

Erling Haaland (now 61) reached the 60-goal tally in the Premier League today, in his 63rd appearance in the competition. Before today, the fewest matches a player needed to reach 60 Prem goals was 77 by Alan Shearer.

Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola to Sky Sports: "It looks comfortable but it was not. In the end we created more chances but in the transition we were not precise in the last pass. But Erling [Haaland] is back to business. Penalties are a guarantee but the second and fourth [goals] were unbelievable.

"They are a really, really good team but we made calls in the right moment, especially with the fourth because at 3-1 anything can happen.

"The 20 minutes he [Haaland] played against Nottingham Forest was really good and today as well. We won, but it was so long an injury. It is welcome he arrived in the right moment. But we arrive together because Erling and Kevin [De Bruyne] have been out, but Phil [Foden] and Julian [Alvarez] have played so well."

On Haaland's reaction after coming off: "He's a little bit frustrated, but I understand. He was frustrated with the referee. With the long balls sometimes they push him and he is pulled. Yes, it is like that.

"Goal difference is not possible, we cannot draw. The way Arsenal have been playing has been so good and consistent. It's three games, hopefully we win the first and the second and arrive to the third with our destiny in our own hands."
