Diana Vickers has gone straight to number one in the UK album chart with Songs From The Tainted Cherry Tree.

The former X Factor contestant's debut album features former number one single Once, which this week dropped from number four to number eight.

The top three singles remain the same as last week, with Good Times by Roll Deep holding on to the number one spot.

There were new entries for Pendulum, at four, with Watercolour, and Aggro Santos, at five, with Candy.

The only other new entry in the top 40 was Sophie Ellis-Bextor, at number 25, with Bittersweet.

Vickers knocked Plan B's The Defamation of Strictland Banks off the top of the album chart into second place.

Other new entries in the album chart included Need You Now, by Lady Antebellum, at number eight, The Magic Of, by Mantovani, at number 23 and Diamond Eyes, by Deftones, at number 26.

Chipmunk's I Am Chipmunk re-entered the top 40 at 31.
