Jury retires in Brighton flat murder case

A jury has retired to consider its verdict in the case of a man accused of murdering a woman after visiting her for sex at her East Sussex home.
Neil McMillan, 42, denies strangling Andrea Waddell then setting fire to her flat in Upper Lewes Road, Brighton on October 15 last year.
Lewes Crown Court heard Ms Waddell , 29, was born Alexander John, but underwent gender reassignment surgery.
McMillan, 42, of Bennett Road, Brighton, denies murder.
