Dawlish Warren sea defence repair is completed
- Published
A project to repair sea defences at Dawlish Warren has been completed by the Environment Agency (EA).
Storms damaged the dunes and groynes, creating a potential hazard to the public and causing problems for shipping in the area.
The £65,000 project saw teams working between tides, making sure each section was intact before the sea came in.
The Devon beach attracts around 10,000 people in summer and was made a Special Conservation area by the EU.
