Three men charged over London murder of Godwin Lawson

Godwin and two other young men were stabbed in the attack

Three men have been charged with murdering a 17-year-old footballer who was stabbed to death in north London.

Godwin Lawson, from Enfield, north London, was fatally wounded in Stamford Hill on 27 March.

Daniel Riley, 21, from Holloway, north London; Matthew Lanihun, 20, of Finsbury Park, north London; and Koffi Osimeh, 19, also of Finsbury Park, are accused of killing him.

They have also been charged with trying to murder two men aged 18 and 20.

These two men suffered stab wounds in the same incident.

Godwin was at the Oxford United Football and Education Academy.

He suffered a stab wound to the chest in the incident near Durley Road.

Moise Avorgah, 19, of Tottenham, north London, appeared at the Old Bailey in April, charged with murdering Godwin.

He was remanded in custody ahead of a hearing on 16 June.
