Police targeting illegal riders in Wrexham

Police say they will continue to target illegal off-road motor cyclists after a recent crackdown in the Wrexham area.
North Wales Police say a motorbike was seized by officers in Rhostyllen during the latest operation.
The force's helicopter took part in the exercise to search for potential offenders in known hot spots around Rhosllannerchrugog and Rhostyllen.
Police said the operation will continue, warning that the riders are putting lives at risk.
Danger
"The way these motorbikes are being ridden in the local area is extremely dangerous without any consideration for the safety of the public or themselves," said Rhostyllen police community support officer Ben Madeley.
"Offenders often fail to wear any safety equipment. We will continue to clamp down on anyone caught using motorbikes unlawfully."
Inspector Iwan Jones from the Wrexham South neighbourhood policing team added: "This shows the excellent working arrangements the police have in Wrexham with our local authority.
"Through liaising with our local councillors and park wardens we have been able to set up an operation that has a direct impact on the safety of our road users and the quality of life of our community."
Officers said anyone with information about illegal riders should contact North Wales Police on 101.
