Aberdeenshire councillors have given the go-ahead to the latest stage of Donald Trump's golf development plans.
Work on the golf course is expected to begin on Thursday after the Formartine area committee backed the plans.
Tuesday's meeting was mainly about the championship golf course, including associated developments such as a driving range.
Plans to build a hotel and hundreds of homes on the site are due to go before councillors at a later date.
US tycoon Mr Trump wants to build the "world's greatest golf course" at Menie in the north of Aberdeen.
Some local residents have refused to sell their properties to the billionaire.
Mr Trump vowed last month to cut the ribbon on his golf resort within 18 months.
He predicted the total cost of the project was likely to be about £750m.
