Rennard divide 'could destroy party' says Lord Greaves
A Lib Dem peer said the Lord Rennard allegations were a "storm in a teacup" which could destroy the party.
Lord Greaves said each side was "standing behind their own lines chucking grenades at each other" as he drew comparisons with peace talks in Northern Ireland and South Africa.
He spoke on BBC Two's Daily Politics, along with former party leader Sir Menzies Campbell, an hour ahead of a sitting where Lord Rennard was set to rejoin the House of Lords, despite Nick Clegg's demand he must first apologise over sexual harassment claims.
