Alderney looks for summer season ferry operator
- Published
The States of Alderney is looking for an operator to run a ferry service to Guernsey for the 2025 summer season.
It is looking for a vessel that can carry 12 passengers to operate between the end of May and the end of September.
If successful those awarded the contract could see it extended to 2026 and 2027.
Bill Abel, chair of the Policy and Finance Committee, said: "The seasonal ferry service has become an important and well-regarded addition to our transport offer over the last few years."
He said: "It provides alternative travel options to the island and back-up for air passengers, and we look forward to seeing the interest from potential providers."
Applicants should provide details of their ferry, their proposed operating period, planned fare structure and the subsidy required in their expressions of interest.
The closing date for submission is 14 February.
