Alderney's new ferry has arrived in the island.

The Dart Fisher suffered a "supply failure" in September, forcing it to return to Great Yarmouth just one hour into its journey.

Staff at Alderney Ferry Services Ltd said it then had to wait 10 days for new parts to arrive.

The ferry is a 24m (79ft) twin-hulled boat and is set to provide a year round service between the islands.

Alderney Ferry Services director Charlie Smith said having the Dart Fisher in the island is "a massive day for our business".
