Night buses set to be introduced in Torquay

Night buses running into the early hours of every Saturday will soon be made available in Torbay, police have said.
The new service, funded by the Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner, will be introduced from 2 November until 21 December, Devon and Cornwall Police said.
Night buses will be provided by Stagecoach and single journeys will cost £2, the force said.
Ch Supt Roy Linden said: "Torquay remains a safe place to live, work and enjoy a night out but our hope is that these night buses will make it even safer."
'Affordable option'
Devon and Cornwall Police and Crime Commissioner Alison Hernandez said: "Everyone should be able to get home safely, whether they're coming from work or a night out.
"The night bus service provides an easy, affordable option for late-night travel, helping to reduce the risk of drink or drug-related incidents."
The force said the introduction of night buses follows successful trials in north Devon and Newquay.
According to police, the buses led to a reduction in anti-social behaviour and drink and drug-related incidents while operational.
