A donkey sanctuary based in Cornwall is celebrating its 30th birthday and 30 years of rescue.
The anniversary and birthday of Penryn-based sanctuary, The Flicka Foundation, falls on Sunday, which also marks the birthday of charity founder, Mary Berryman.
Thousands of animals, including hundreds of donkeys, ponies and horses have found safety at the sanctuary since the charity's opening.
The sanctuary will open its gates free of charge for a special open day on Sunday, from 11:00 to 16:00 BST.
Flicka Development Manager, Claire Turnbull, said: "Our wonderful, loyal supporters have helped us rescue so many donkeys in desperate need and offer them a safe home for life over the past 30 years, but we need help to continue to be there for them.
"Keeping our charity running is a huge, endless task, but we hope to carry on well into the future with the invaluable and kind support of the public."
