An appeal has been launched after a man was threatened with a machete and had his electric bike stolen.

Staffordshire Police is appealing for witnesses to the incident, which happened just after 14:30 GMT on Sunday on Wetmore Road in Burton-upon-Trent.

Three men approached a man in his 20s and threatened him with the weapon before pushing him off a black and red electric bike and made off in a white Audi A3 and another silver car, the force said.

The suspects were described by officers as Asian men, aged between 20 and 30, and wearing balaclavas and dark clothing.

Anyone with CCTV, dashcam or doorbell footage of the area at the time is being urged get in touch with police.
