Pedestrian 'seriously injured' in crash

A man is in hospital with serious injuries after a being hit by a car in Calderdale.
West Yorkshire Police said the man was struck by a black Audi A1at about 16:15 GMT on Thursday at the junction of Amisfield Road and Leeds Road in Hipperholme.
The pedestrian, in his 70s, was taken to hospital following the crash, where his injuries were described by the force as serious but not life-threatening.
Anyone who witnessed the collision is asked to contact police.
