Boy, 6, hit by coach suffers serious injuries

A six-year-old boy has been taken to hospital with serious injuries after being hit by a coach.

Police were called to the collision in Walnut Street in Leicester at 16:11 BST on Monday.

Leicestershire Police said the boy's injuries were not believed to be life-threatening.

Road closures were put in place while the emergency services attended the scene and drivers were asked to avoid the area.

The force said no arrests had been made following the crash.

It is appealing for witnesses or anyone who has dashcam footage of the collision.
