Man jailed for stabbing man in face at house party

A man who stabbed another man in the face after what police said was a disagreement at a house party has been jailed for more than five years.
Max Gall's victim - also in his 20s - suffered serious injuries and was left with permanent scarring following the knife attack in Rugby, Warwickshire, in May.
Gall had previously pleaded guilty to wounding with intent and possession of a knife in a public place.
He followed his victim into the street to stab him on 5 May 2024 and when paramedics arrived, the man had passed out.
His victim lost a "significant amount of blood" in the attack and it could easily have been so much worse, said Det Con Regan Austin, from Warwickshire Police.
"This incident once again shows that no good comes from carrying a knife," he added.
"A young man has been left with a permanent reminder of the attack and another will serve a long prison sentence."
Gall, 23, from Lodge Road, Rugby, was sentenced at Warwick Crown Court on Monday to 63 months in prison with a further two years on licence.
