Bergerac's second series will show Jersey "at its best", producers of the rebooted TV drama have said.

Filming for the six episodes has wrapped on the island ahead of the series' return to U&Drama in 2026.

Executive producer Brian Constantine said "iconic Jersey locations", including the return of St Aubin's Old Court House, which was turned into The Royal Barge pub in the 1980s and 1990s version of the show, would make appearances on screen.

He added the island had always been part of the show and the production team wanted to make sure Jersey remained a big star.

"I feel we're going to see Jersey at its best," Mr Constantine said.

"We really wanted to show off Jersey to its maximum.

"Every minute we spent in Jersey, we knew we needed to make sure we did Jersey proud."

Mr Constantine said other locations set to feature in series two included the lido at Havre Des Pas, lots of the island's beaches and a big chase scene at Fort Regent.

The Old Court House pub was a well-known site used in the original version show and is set to return.

Mr Constantine said the venue would become a restaurant called Tomassi's in a scene between main character Jim Bergerac, played by Damien Molony, and his daughter Kim, played by Chloe Sweetlove.

Series two of Bergerac - starring Damien Molony (pictured) as Jim Bergerac - will be focused on a murder at a wedding

Series two's plot will be focused on the murder of a groom at a wedding, with actors including Adrian Edmondson and Lesley Sharp joining the cast.

Mr Constantine said filming for the series went "incredibly smoothly" with more than 100 cast and crew staying in Jersey.

He added the support received across the island was much appreciated and helped with the production.

"The island has always been the backdrop of Bergerac and it has been great to have the people of Jersey get behind it," Mr Constantine said.
