Girl, 10, takes on rowing challenge for food bank

A 10-year-old girl is rowing more than 38 miles (62km) throughout May to raise money for her local food bank.
Luna, from Bristol, has so far raised more than £700 for the cause.
All the money she raises will be donated to Bristol North West Food Bank in Avonmouth, where she volunteers in her spare time.
"Everybody deserves a good life, and I like making people happy," Luna said.
Previously, Luna spent 45 days swimming the length of the English Channel in a pool, cycled the distance between Land's End and John O'Groats on an exercise bike, and jumped 1,000 times a day on a pogo stick for the food bank.
She said her latest challenge on a rowing machine is "very tiring".
She said she decided to embark on the challenges during the Covid lockdown, when she first became aware of people experiencing food poverty in Bristol.
“I don’t like seeing children who have less than me," Luna said.
Alongside the fundraising challenges, Luna gives up her free time to volunteer at the food bank.
She also worked alongside the senior leadership team to install a permanent donation point.
Luna's efforts were recognised in 2022 when she was named a winner in the fundraiser category at BBC Radio Bristol's Make A Difference Awards.
More recently, she was announced as a finalist in the fundraising heroes category for the Bristol Young Heroes Awards, which recognises those who make a difference to others.
She has been supported along the way by her parents Patricia and Matt.
Patricia said Luna often questions why it only seems to be adults who embark on fundraising challenges.
"We're very proud to have such a caring child," she added.
Luna will finish her "Row for Dough" challenge on 31 May.
