A man who raped two women while they slept has been jailed for 14 years.

Matthew Hall, 39, from Devon, admitted two charges of rape in addition to six further sexual counts against one of his victims.

Exeter Crown Court was told the attacks had taken place on the women in south Devon between 2019 and 2022.

Det Con Tia Smallridge said: "Hall is a dangerous sexual predator whose own sexual desire and preoccupation was his only thought. He showed no regard for the victims... and the lasting impact his actions will have in their futures."

Both women told Exeter Crown Court that they had been left "haunted" by Hall's actions.

A probation officer told the court Hall was a "manipulative and predatory" man and a risk to women in the future.

In addition to his prison sentence, Hall was placed on the sex offenders register for life.
