Police made three arrests after two men were seriously injured

Three people have been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder following after two men were seriously assaulted.

Thames Valley Police (TVP) said officers were called shortly after 11:00 GMT to reports of an assault at a property in Prospect Street in Reading.

Two men, in their 30's sustained serious but not life-threatening injuries and remain in hospital.

Two men, both aged 38 and a 37-year-old woman, all from Reading, have been arrested.

A spokesperson for TVP said: "We understand that this may cause concern but we believe this to be an isolated and targeted incident with no threat to the wider community."
