Teen dies after head-on motorbike crash with car

A motorcycle rider died after a crash on a rural road in Hoveton, Norfolk

A teenage motorcyclist has died following a crash on a rural road involving two motorbikes and a car.

The collision happened at 21:19 BST on Friday in Hoveton, Norfolk.

The rider of a green Kawasaki GSX636 motorbike was pronounced dead at the scene.

He was travelling along the Belaugh Road towards Coltishall with a rider of a blue Yamaha MT07 when they were involved in a collision with a white Ford Focus travelling in the opposite direction.

The Yamaha rider, aged in his 20s, remains in hospital with serious injuries. The car driver, also in his 20s, was treated for minor injuries.

An air ambulance was called and the road remained closed until the following afternoon.

Norfolk Police is appealing for witnesses to come forward.
