Cliff-edge rescue of woman and two dogs

A woman and two small dogs (pictured) were rescued by fire crews after they fell off a cliff

Firefighters rescued a woman and two dogs after they fell from an inland cliff-edge.
Crews were called to the former quarry area near Heron Way in West Thurrock, Essex, at 19:17 BST on Friday.
Along with paramedics, they cut through brambles and debris to reach the woman and bring her out on a stretcher.
She was left in the care of the ambulance service, while two small dogs were also saved.

Essex Fire and Rescue said the scene was made safe before teams left at midnight.
Station Manager Adrian Richardson said: "We worked together with our ambulance and police colleagues using a range of rescue options to safely and swiftly rescue the woman from the scene.
"We wish her and her dogs a quick recovery."
