A second arrest has been made by officers investigating two robberies in Leicestershire, including one where a man was hit with a belt and forced to transfer money from his bank account.

Police were called to Bath Lane in Leicester on Saturday, after reports a group of men, aged 18 and 19, had gone into a property before a man was attacked inside.

Officers were then told a group of men had visited an address in Harborough on Friday, and demanded those inside transfer money to them and hand over designer clothing.

Leicestershire Police previously said a 19-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to commit robbery and released on bail. A second man, also 19, was arrested on Thursday.

He was arrested on suspicion of robbery, false imprisonment and causing actual bodily harm, the force said. The man remains in custody.

Anyone with any information has been asked to get in touch with police.
