A Christmas Tree of Remembrance has been unveiled in a Wolverhampton shopping centre.
People could pay £5 to charity for the name of a loved one they have lost to go on display near the festive tree in the Wulfrun Shopping Centre.
Since its inception in 2003 the tree has raised over £120,000 for good causes with more than 600 people being remembered last year, the centre said.
The tree was unveiled on Saturday by the city's mayor, councillor Linda Leach.
This year, four charities will benefit from the donations through organisers, the local Rotary club.
Lorraine McCarthy, president of the City of Wolverhampton Rotary Club who lost her daughter to bowel cancer in 2018, said: “If you have lost a loved one Christmas can be a difficult time.
"The Tree of Remembrance has become an important part of many peoples Christmas tradition and over the years has given a lot of people a degree of comfort at this time of year”.
