A second person will appear in court in connection with the death of a man who was hit by a car.

Arlind Xhokola, 26, died near a cycle path off Momples Road in Harlow, Essex, at about 17:30 GMT on Saturday.

Joe Jones, 37, of Great Plumtree, Harlow, has been charged with robbery, perverting the course of justice and possession of a knife in a public place.

Jeremy Heath, of Ladyshot in the town, has already appeared in Chelmsford Magistrates' Court accused of Mr Xhokola's murder.

Mr Heath, who is yet to enter a plea, is also charged with robbery and possession of a knife in a public place.

In a tribute issued through police, Mr Xhokola's family said he was a "mellow, relaxed and patient" man who was "loved by many".

"Arlind made a positive impact on his family and friends and this is a shock to all of us," they said.

"Arlind made us all become closer and together, we are mourning his death as a community."

Police have been investigating whether the robbery of a Ford Fiesta in nearby Pennymead is linked to Mr Xhokola's death.

They said two other men from Harlow, aged 39 and 50, were being questioned on suspicion of murder and robbery.

Mr Jones was due to appear at Chelmsford Magistrates' Court on Friday.
