Applications open for charity funding grants
- Published
A fund aimed at assisting charities and non-profit organisations in Guernsey is open for applications.
Since 2021, 90 Social Investment Fund (SIF) grants have been awarded to charities and non-profit organisations (NPOs) that support bailiwick residents, totalling about £950,000.
The SIF said grants would be awarded to groups focused on people in the local community, on the services and support they needed, or if they were of benefit to the community.
Organisations can apply for a grant of up to £25,000 to put towards one-off projects, capital expenses, or running costs of up to a year’s duration.
'Essential costs'
Sadie Siviter de Paucar, lead officer of the fund, said: "This is our second round of small grants funding in 2024 and we encourage charities of any shape or size across the bailiwick to apply for support for running or project costs that they are struggling to fund.
"Small grants support essential costs that charities can sometimes find it difficult to fundraise for."
For this programme, SIF is working with the Guernsey Community Foundation which provides administrative support in co-ordinating applications.
