Kidnap arrests after report man was forced into car

Two men have been arrested on suspicion of kidnap after a man was reported to have been forced into a car.

Derbyshire Police said officers were trying to locate a man believed to have been abducted in Station Lane, Whittington, at about 14:05 BST on Monday.

The force said it was believed the man was forced into a grey car and later left the vehicle in the Ash Crescent area of Eckington at about 14:30.

Police said a man in his 30s and a man in his 50s, both from the Chesterfield area, had been arrested and released on bail as inquiries continued.

Anyone with information is asked to come forward.
