A1 reopened after crews called to lorry fire

A main road in Nottinghamshire has reopened following a lorry fire.

Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service was called to the vehicle fire on the northbound carriageway of the A1 near Carlton-on-Trent at about 07:25 BST.

National Highways said the northbound side of the road had been shut between the Great North Road at North Muskham and the Carlton-on-Trent junction.

One lane opened at about 10:00 and National Highways confirmed all lanes had reopened at about 13:25.
