Several packages containing suspected drugs have washed up along the coast, police have said.

Devon and Cornwall Police said officers were notified on Sunday to reports the packages had been found on the Lizard in Cornwall.

Officers attended the scene and the packages collected for examination.

Investigations are ongoing, they added.

Earlier this month a number of other packages containing suspected drugs were found on beaches along the north Cornish coast.
