Labour has comfortably retained control of Calderdale Council, following the local elections.

The party increased its majority on the local authority by two, while the Conservatives lost four councillors.

Labour now holds 29 of Calderdale's 51 seats, with the Conservatives the main opposition on 11 and the Liberal Democrats six.

A third of the seats were being contested at this year's elections, with most of those being retained by the incumbent party.

Voter turnout was confirmed as 34.38%.
