A man has been fined nearly £500 for dumping a fridge near a Bradford primary school in broad daylight.
Alex Braybrook, 35, of Fifth Street, Low Moor, was caught fly-tipping on Procter Street on 18 May last year.
He was captured on CCTV illegally disposing of a grey fridge freezer from the rear of his Ford Transit van in the early afternoon.
Braybrook admitted fly-tipping at Bradford Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday and was fined £480.
The fridge was left a few yards from Tong Medical Practice and St Columba’s Catholic Primary School.
Braybrook was initially handed a £400 fixed penalty notice but did not pay, according to the Local Democracy Reporting Service.
He then failed to appear before magistrates on 16 May, and a warrant was issued for his arrest.
He pleaded guilty and was issued with the higher penalty on Tuesday.
