Woman seriously injured in Devon crash

Police are appealing for witnesses after the crash in Cove

Police are investigating a road crash in Devon which left a woman in her 40s with serious injuries.
Devon and Cornwall Police said the crash, involving a Volkswagen Caddy and a BMW, happened on the A396 near Bolham, in Cove, at about 16:24 BST on Thursday.
Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue service said the head-on collision resulted in a person being trapped in their vehicle after it left the carriageway and went into a ditch.
Police have appealed for any witnesses to the incident to come forward.
Fire crews released the person trapped using hydraulic cutting equipment and transferred them to ambulance crews at the scene.
