A man has been charged with kidnap following the attempted abduction of a child in West Sussex.
An investigation was launched following a report of concern for a boy in Broadwater Road, Worthing, at about 15:30 BST on Monday.
John Perkins, 20, from Whitebeam Road, Worthing, was arrested and has since been charged with kidnap.
The seven-year-old boy involved was unharmed, Sussex Police said.
Mr Perkins has been remanded in custody and is due to appear before Lewes Crown Court on 24 July for a plea and preparation hearing.
