New wellbeing programme launched for young people

A new service has been launched to support young people's wellbeing.
The iDiscover, external programme, from the Northamptonshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust, offers those who are 25 and under free resources to help them manage issues including stress, anxiety and self care.
The service includes workshops, courses, and webinars and can be accessed online and in person.
Ryan, a young carer aged 18, helped produce the programme and said that "every" course has input from a "young person".
iDiscover is for young people in Northamptonshire, as well as for family members, carers and friends who support someone under the age of 25.
Skye, 19, a junior peer trainer, hopes the platform will "put control" back in the hands of young people and their families, as referrals from an NHS professional to access the courses were "not necessary".
Syke added: "I hope [iDiscovery] can make a difference to the youth of today."
Activities are available online and in person and all are free to access and attend.
Jo Fletcher, from the Northamptonshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust, said: “iDiscover is a safe place for children and young people to connect with others as part of a friendly and supportive community where everyone is accepted.
“It is a place to learn new skills and develop the skills they already have – and to help young people feel more in control of their health, wellbeing and their lives."
