An overnight closure will be in place on the A30 for resurfacing works after the road was damaged by a bus fire, National Highways has said.

Firefighters from Bodmin and Launceston were called to the blaze near Bolventor on Tuesday morning after a double-decker lost power and caught fire.

National Highways said one lane remained closed on the A30 between the A395 at Kennards House and the A389 at Bodmin, but a full westbound closure would be in place between the two locations overnight.

It said resurfacing works were due to finish at 06:00 BST on Thursday and a diversion route would be in place.
