Man in his 70s assaulted by young male

Devon and Cornwall Police are appealing for information after a man in his 70s was assaulted by a young male in north Devon

Police are appealing for witnesses after a man in his 70s was assaulted at night by a young male in north Devon.
Devon and Cornwall Police said the man was walking along Queen Street in Barnstaple, outside the NHS centre, at about 22:30 BST on Saturday when a verbal exchange took place between the two men.
"During the exchange the victim was assaulted and suffered an injury to his finger," police said.
"The suspect - part of a group of teenagers - is described as being a white male aged 16-18, around 5ft 9ins tall, with dark short hair."
The suspect was wearing a white t-shirt, a black waterproof top, black trousers and was "holding a carton of juice", police added.
