The Opera House is set to reopen after five years to host two Liberation Day concerts as part of celebrations to mark the 80th anniversary of the end of the German occupation.
The opening concert at the Grade II listed building featuring the Philharmonia Orchestra will include World War Two songs performed by Jersey singer Georgie Mae-Bishop.
The Liberation International Music Festival is organised by Music in Action chairman James Mews who said the reopening of the Opera House for the celebrations would be a "momentous occasion".
He said: "This iconic venue will once again resonate with the power of live performance, bringing world-class music to the heart of our community."
The music festival runs from 9 to 18 May with events at venues including Hamptonne, Gorey Harbour, Rozel Fort.
Jersey Opera House chairman Dave Chalk said: "It's fabulous that after five long years, one of our longest term supporters Music in Action will be the first local group to put on a show at the Jersey Opera House and it's very fitting that this should be on Liberation Day."
Mr Mews said: "Our festival offers real Jersey stories...we will celebrate freedom, resilience, love and the unifying power of music."
