Who is the Green Party's mayoral candidate Zoe Garbett?

Zoe Garbett is standing as the Green Party candidate in the mayoral elections.
She is the leader of Hackney Green Group and has been a councillor in the borough since 2022.
Ms Garbett works in a non-clinical role for the NHS and has been employed in the public sector in London for the past 10 years.
She will focus on addressing the causes of crime
When it comes to policing, Ms Garbett's priority is to bring together communities, faith groups and the police to tackle the root causes of crime.
She wants to restore parts of communities that keep people safe, like youth services and libraries, which have been lost to austerity measures.
Ms Garbett also said she would reprioritise the Met Police into tackling serious organised crime "instead of racist stop and searches or punishing young people for possession of cannabis".
She will extend free transport and create more cycle lanes
Ms Garbett says she will reduce transport costs by extending free bus travel to under-22s, offering free bus travel to people seeking asylum and restoring free pre-9am travel for older Londoners.
She also champions low-traffic neighbourhoods, car-free zones and more cycle lanes and green walking routes.
"But we also need a smarter, fairer charging system for driving in London, one that does not punish people who depend on cars for their jobs - I would quickly set about consulting Londoners on this," she said.
She will introduce rent controls to the housing market
On the issue of affordable housing, Ms Garbett said she would bring in rent controls, starting with a two-year rent freeze.
She would also set up a Rent Commission to explore various methods of bringing down private rents.
"Those methods include holding developers to account to deliver the most council housing possible, and delivering the Green idea of buy-the-supply, where we take back what we lost to right-to-buy and homes lost to demolition," she said.
She will make culture more accessible
Ms Garbett says she will bring in a levy on big stadium venues to create a pot of funding to support small organisations.
She wants to make it easier for people to attend events, and will help young people set up new, creative businesses.
She said she would also "open our public spaces for people to exercise, play and perform".
She will extend free school meals to secondary school children
"We are not just in a cost-of-living crisis, we are in an equality crisis," Ms Garbett said.
To address this issue she will extend free school meals to secondary school pupils, introduce an increased real Living Wage for London and stand in solidarity with unions to protect workers’ rights.
"And I’ll champion the many sole traders and markets in London," she added.
