The candidates vying to be the next London mayor

The campaign to become the next London mayor is well under way, with parties announcing their chosen candidates.
Thirteen candidates are standing for the office of mayor of London for the next four years.
Scheduled for 2 May, the vote will also see members elected to the London Assembly.
Although mayoral elections normally take place every four years, the previous one, in 2021, was delayed by a year due to the pandemic.
The candidates who are standing are listed in alphabetical order and you can find a summary of each of their key pledges on policing, transport, housing, culture and cost-of-living below.
Femy Amin - Animal Welfare Party

Count Binface

Count Binface, who describes himself as an intergalactic space warrior, is running again for Mayor of London after finishing ninth in the 2021 election.
Rob Blackie - Liberal Democrats

Rob Blackie, a digital marketer who advises start-up tech companies, is the Liberal Democrat candidate.
Natalie Campbell - Independent

Natalie Campbell, who is the co-CEO of a drinks company and chancellor of Westminster University, is running as an independent candidate.
Howard Cox - Reform UK

Reform UK has announced Howard Cox, the founder of the Fair Fuel UK campaign, as its candidate.
Amy Gallagher - Social Democratic Party

NHS nurse and psychotherapist Amy Gallagher is the Social Democratic Party's London mayoral candidate.
Zoë Garbett - Green Party

Zoë Garbett, who is a councillor for Dalston and Hackney, has been announced as the Green Party's candidate.
Tarun Ghulati - Independent

Tarun Ghulati, an investment banker who has lived in London for the past 20 years, is running as an independent candidate.
Susan Hall - Conservative Party

The Conservative Party has selected London Assembly member Susan Hall as its candidate.
Sadiq Khan - Labour Party

The current London mayor is bidding to serve a historic third term having first been elected to the post in 2016.
Andreas Michli - Independent

Andreas Michli, a health and fitness entrepreneur and gym owner, is running as an independent candidate.
Brian Rose - London Real Party

Brian Rose, representing London Real Party, is a former banker who founded the media firm London Real.
Nick Scanlon - Britain First

Nick Scanlon is Britain First's candidate for mayor.
