Road shut after motorcyclist badly hurt in crash

A motorcyclist has been taken to hospital with potentially life-threatening injures after a crash on the A49 in Hereford.

Emergency services, including an air ambulance, were called at about 19:00 BST on Tuesday following a collision involving a car.

The A49 remains closed in both directions between A40 Ross-on-Wye and the B4521 St Owens Cross. Inquires are continuing at the scene.

A man in his 30s was taken to Hereford County Hospital by land ambulance.
